Resumo

This study concludes research conducted between 2025 and 2026 at IFCE – Ubajara campus, in Vila Libânia, Mucambo, Ceará, Brazil. It examines the life histories of four farmers who sustain the artisanal production of cassava flour, a collective practice and cultural heritage passed down through generations. The methodology included narrative interviews, community meetings, and a 44-minute documentary, preserving the intangible memory of this production. The research was structured around six axes: family context, knowledge transmission, professional trajectory, cultural resistance, social changes, and climate impacts in the semi-arid region. The farmers report a growing lack of interest among younger generations, threatening the continuity of these traditional practices. The study emphasizes the relationship between experiential learning and the appreciation of local identity, while the documentary returned to the community reinforces an ethical commitment to preserving these traditions amid rapid social transformations.
