Resumo
In this context, the PhET simulator stands out as an interactive and accessible pedagogical resource, capable of enhancing the teaching–learning process, especially in the study of electrical circuits. This study aimed to investigate the use of the PhET simulator as a teaching tool for students in Youth and Adult Education (EJA), focusing on strengthening the relationship between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Methodologically, the proposal is grounded in active learning methodologies, such as Project-Based Learning (PBL), combining experimental practice with digital technologies. The study was conducted in EJA classes – Formative Stage II, in Salvador, Bahia, using computers, mobile phones, and the PhET application in both online and offline modes. The qualitative and quantitative analysis considered student interaction, collective knowledge construction, and the results obtained from assembling series, parallel, and mixed circuits. The expected outcomes include greater student engagement, improved understanding of electricity concepts, and the development of autonomy, creativity, and collaboration, reinforcing the inclusive and plural character of EJA.
