AB  - The present work has the objective of making a contextualization/synthesis of the Physical Education curricula for a reflection on the body from the cultural context from a theoretical bibliographic essay, bringing as guiding references Tomaz Tadeu da Silva, Marcos Garcia Neira and Valter Bracht, having the perspective that all pedagogical theorization is a theory of the curriculum. Thus, confirming that all approaches to Physical Education are curriculum theories, making a brief synthesis of some main curricula in this area. Finally, we try to bring physical education in a context in which the body is also a part. Discussing the culture within the body culture of movement, that is, Physical Education. The work criticizes the praise that there was and is about the biological, structural and Cartesian aspect that some approaches of Physical Education make of the body and ends with alluding to the possibility that the cultural curriculum has in dealing with the theme of the body in Education School Physics.
