Corantes alternativos em práticas de microscopia no ensino de ciências da natureza: uma abordagem acessível e eficaz

Katily Luize Garcia Pereira; Rafaella Gregório de Souza; Geanisson Conceição dos Santos

Resumo

This work addresses the use of alternative dyes in microscopy practices in the teaching of Natural Sciences. The objective is to propose easy and effective techniques that can replace traditional dyes, making learning more dynamic and easier. The methodology used was qualitative experimental, with a survey of commonly used dyes, choice of material to be used, selection of alternative dyes, preparation of slides and research on the chemical composition of each dye. The results showed that gentian violet was the most effective alternative dye, satisfactorily staining basic cellular structures. Other colorants, such as food coloring, powdered soda and ballpoint pen ink, also showed overwhelming results. It is concluded that it is possible to use alternative low-cost and easily accessible dyes in Science classes, making experimental practices more accessible and stimulating for students. This approach contributes to the development of students' critical and reflective thinking, in addition to promoting investigation and interest in the discipline.
